Learn a modern take on the traditional Cathedral Window quilt block. In this class you will make an 18” x 18” mini quilt, perfect for a pillow cover, tote bag, or decorative wall hanging. After taking the class, you will be able to adapt the Cathedral Window pattern to fit different projects going forward.

About the class

Join Candice in a three-hour class where we will go through construction of a Cathedral Window quilt block. Participants will sew an 18” x 18” mini quilt that can be finished as is or used for a pillow cover, tote bag panel, and more!

When:

May 25, 2024 9:00am - 12:00pm

Where:

We will be meeting in the workroom at The Retreat Center in Altoona, WI. The Retreat Center was created by a quilting enthusiast and is outfitted with adjustable tables, chairs, a kitchen, and more! It provides ample space to comfortably set up your sewing machine and notions.

The Retreat Center is located at 913 S Hillcrest Pkwy Altoona, WI 54720

What’s included:

Participants will each receive a copy of the Cathedral Window pattern, along with other small goodies. Light snacks will be provided.

Skill level:

The cathedral window pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner. Participants should be comfortable using their machine to sew a straight stitch and be able to sew an accurate 1/4” seam.

What to bring:

A full supply list will be set once your registration is complete. Participants will need to bring:

  • Sewing machine

  • Fabric

  • Batting

  • Sewing Notions

A refrigerator is available for participants to use, if you choose to bring snacks or beverages.

Cost:

Cathedral Window Class only (9:00am - 12:00pm): $50

Cathedral Window Class + Open Sew (9:00am - 4:00pm): $60

Open Sew only: $15

Refunds/Cancellations:

Class and event registrations are non-refundable but may be transferred to another participant. If you are unable to make it to the event, please email us here. You may transfer the registration to someone of your choosing or inquire about transferring to someone on the waitlist.
